  • What is reverse osmosis?

    Reverse Osmosis is a technology that is used to remove a large majority of contaminants from water by pushing the water under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane.

    Our water comes from a very reputable source based out of Montebello, Los Angeles.

  • What is the PH of PATHWATER?

  • Why do our bottles need a thin plastic liner?

    To prevent the aluminum from giving the water an off taste. To give you an idea, all aluminum cans have some sort of liner.

  • Are these plastic liners safe to drink from?

    Yes

  • Are PathWater bottles BPA free?

    Yes, all of our aluminum bottles have a very thin BPA free liner in order to maintain the refreshing, robust and revitalizing taste of our filtered water.

  • What is BPA?

    Bisphenol A is a chemical used to make certain plastics, often it is present in the plastic used for water bottles. In 2012 the FDA banned BPA in baby bottles, but other than that there is no regulation. In fact, the FDA has claimed BPA is safe at the low levels it occurs. There have also been numerous international scientific studies claiming exposure to this chemical is linked to neurological disease, metabolic disease, fertility issues, and even cancer. We would rather be safe than sorry, so we use a BPA FREE liner.

  • Can I put hot liquids in my PathWater bottle?

    We do not recommend you put hot liquids in the bottle as because aluminum is a metal, it conducts heat very quickly and can easily burn your hands if the liquid is too hot.

  • Can I clean my PathWater bottle in the dishwasher?

    No, PathWater is not dishwasher friendly. – (NOT SUITABLE FOR MICROWAVE, COOKING, FREEZING,OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS. DO NOT CLEAN WITH STEEL WOOL, STIFF BRUSH, OR ANYTHING ABRASIVE AS THESE MAY DAMAGE THE BOTTLES INNER COATING.

  • How do I clean PathWater bottles?

    Hand wash only!

  • Does PathWater contain any sodium or any other additives?

    PathWater contains reverse osmosis filtered water. There are no additives, simply the essential minerals that occur naturally in water.

  • Are PathWater bottles recyclable?

    Yes! Please recycle them. That is our mission, to reduce plastic waste and bring our environment back to a healthy equilibrium. Aluminum is a much more highly valued commodity than plastic, therefore companies have more incentive to recycle and reuse that recycled material in future. Not only do people recycle aluminum at twice the rate of plastic, but the process of recycling, transportation, and distribution aluminum has a significantly smaller carbon footprint (range from 10-50% depending on the material compared to) compared to other liquid packaging alternatives like plastic or glass. Aluminum is infinitely recyclable, while plastic often gets downcycled, resulting in more waste.

  • What’s different between your bottle and a Hydro-Flask?

    – There are three main differences
    – Cost (A hydro-flask ranges from $20-$30. PathWater is 10 to 15 times cheaper than that!
    – Pre Packaged with water (A hyrdo-flask is not pre-packaged with water)
    – Portability (A hydro-flask is much bigger and not as portable as Pathwater)

  • Does the aluminum keep the water cold?

    The aluminum keeps the water very cool and refreshing unlike plastic.
